Our story
Outback Fencing didn't start with investors or a boardroom. It started on a bare block of dirt in Cargo, New South Wales, with Josh and Jess Crawford, every dollar of their savings, and a belief that farmers were paying too much for fencing that could be made better, closer to home.
They bought an entry-level machine, taught themselves to run it and worked long, hard days turning wire into mesh, often not knowing if the next order would come. It did. Word got around about a young family in the central west making good mesh and selling it straight to farmers, with no middleman.
Today we roll our own hinged joint and fixed knot mesh on our own machines in Orange, NSW, and supply pickets, gates, wire, tools and the Outback Clipgun to farmers right across Australia.
Four kids, three beagles, two fencing machines, and a business that runs on hard work and doing right by rural customers.

Why we do it
We started Outback to make fencing easier and fairer for the people who work the land. Farmers all over the world face the same long fence lines and the same hard days. We want to help more of them.
Where we're heading
The Outback Clipgun is the first product we're taking overseas. Next, we want to set up our own mesh manufacturing in the USA, Europe, South Africa and New Zealand, so farmers there can buy fencing made close to home, straight from the people who make it.
Every Clipgun helps us get there. Shop the Full KitToday
Our plan
Mesh made overseas is our plan for the future, not something you can order yet. Today we sell the Outback Clipgun range overseas.

See it on the fence line
This short demonstration comes from the current Outback Full Kit product media. It shows the Clipgun being used on a fence line, so you can see the tool, grip and working position before choosing a setup.

For the Full Kit, select your charger plug and add a note if your socket differs. For the Skin Only, use your own battery and charger.

The Outback Clipgun fires standard C24 clips: 16 gauge with a 24 mm crown. You can order C24 clips here with your Clipgun. Clips and spare batteries are sent from our local supplier in your region, not from Australia, so they arrive in a separate parcel from your Clipgun.
The Full Kit includes a charger. Select your regional plug before adding it to the cart; you can change the suggested option. South Africa offers Type M and Type N. If your socket differs, add a charger note so our team can confirm the requirement before dispatch. Skin Only uses your own compatible battery and charger.
