Return & Refund Policy (Australia)
1) Change of Mind
We do not offer refunds or exchanges for change of mind, incorrect choice, finding a cheaper price elsewhere, ordering the wrong quantity, or financial reasons.
Once an order has been paid for and dispatched, it is final.
2) Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law (ACL)
Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the ACL.
We will repair, replace, or refund a product if it:

Is faulty, defective or unsafe

Is significantly different from its description or sample

Does not perform as advertised or agreed, and cannot be fixed within a reasonable time
For a major failure, you may choose a refund or replacement.
For a minor failure, we will repair or replace the item within a reasonable time.
3) Damage in Transit
All orders are packed securely before dispatch and handled by independent freight carriers.
If You Purchased Shipping Insurance or Premium Freight
If your order included transit insurance or premium freight protection, and your goods arrive damaged, you must:

Inspect your delivery immediately upon arrival.

Report any visible damage within 48 hours of delivery.

Include clear photos of both the packaging and the damaged goods.
Once verified, we will arrange a replacement or refund in accordance with the insurer’s terms and the ACL.
If You Did Not Purchase Shipping Insurance
If you did not purchase freight insurance or safety packaging, Outback Fencing and Steel Supplies is not responsible for any loss or damage that occurs after the order leaves our warehouse.
Risk passes to the buyer once the carrier accepts the shipment.
We will assist with courier claims where possible, but replacement or refund is not guaranteed.
4) Non-Returnable Items

Custom-made, cut-to-length, fabricated or special-order items

Clearance or discounted products

Goods showing signs of installation, use, or damage after delivery
(ACL remedies still apply if these goods are faulty or misdescribed.)
5) Discretionary Returns (Non-ACL)
At our discretion, we may allow a non-fault return within 10 days of delivery if:

The item is unused, in saleable condition, with original packaging

You contact us first for written approval (Return Authorisation)

You cover return freight and risk in transit

A restocking fee of up to 15% may apply
Items returned without approval will be refused.

We’ll provide a Return Authorisation (RA) and instructions once approved.
Returns sent without an RA will not be accepted.
7) Volume & Wholesale Pricing
Wholesale or volume pricing applies only when the minimum order quantity is met in one transaction.
We do not retroactively apply wholesale discounts or issue refunds for prior purchases.
8) Refunds (Where Applicable)
Outback Fencing & Steel Supplies does not offer cash refunds for change of mind or incorrect purchases.
All approved returns are issued as store credit only, which can be used on any future purchase.
Store credit does not expire.
Store credit will be issued once the returned item is received and inspected.
9) Packaging & Risk
You are responsible for secure packaging and for any risk or damage during return transit unless we arranged the return freight.
This does not affect your ACL rights for goods damaged before delivery.
